Hardware manufacturer Colourful has this week announced the launch of a new addition to its range of storage products which takes the form of the SL500 960 GB SSD offering a high-performance, high-speed storage solution. Designed for gamers, power users and professionals seeking “high-speed storage with plenty of capacity for various workloads including modern games, large multimedia files and expansive data can be served rapidly”.
The new SSD is equipped with Intel 64-bit 3D NAND TLC process allowing a single die to have a capacity of 64 GB, or an 8-layer stack to have a capacity of 512 GB explains Colourful. This design combined with the SM2258XT controller allowance the hard drive to offer improved performance over previous generations without the aid of a cache.
