If you are looking for a display solution to connect a DisplayPort Adapter for USB 3.0 to 4K to VGA, DVI or HDMI, the newly unveiled he world’s first USB 3.0 to DisplayPort Graphics Club3D adapter might be worth more investigation.
The Club3D CXV-2302 created by dutch manufacturer Club3D is a plug-and-play certified USB 3.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 adapter but unfortunately doesn’t have quite enough power to push 4K Ultra HD at 60 Hz.
However it is capable of 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz and also allows you to setup smaller resolution displays if required and is backwards compatible with QHD and HD monitors. other features include a DisplayPort 1.2 interface and HDCP 2.0 for protected video playback.
As well as being able to support DVI-I 2048 x 1152p and DisplayPort 2560 x 1600p. The Club 3D USB 3.0 to 4K Graphics Adapter is the first device available worldwide with the revolutionary new DisplayLink SoC implemented say its creators.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Club3D for the new 4K Ultra HD device, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
