If you’re prone to losing your iPhone, iPad, or other device that supports Bluetooth 4.0, check this out. Cirago as a new device called the iAlertTag that makes it easy to find a lost iPhone or other device. The device uses Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy Technology.
The iAlertTag creates a wireless link between your iPhone, Windows computer, or third-generation iPad that alerts you when the tag and your device are separated. The system makes both the tag and your device vibrate and produce alarm sound. When used with a Windows PC supporting Bluetooth 4.0 technology, the tag will also automatically lock the computer when you walk away.
IPhone users can download a free companion app from iTunes that allows the user to set the alarm sound to any track in the iTunes library. The app also allows the user to manage multiple iAlertTags at the same time. The iAlertTag is available right now for $49.99.
