Phones 4U has entered administration, cancelling all iPhone 6 and 6 Plus pre-orders. Earlier today, it was also revealed the company will not issue refunds for placed orders, and customers have to get in touch with their credit card companies to handle the issue.
If you’re one of the affected customers, there’s a good news for you. Carphone Warehouse has issued a statement, offering a reimbursement for those who placed an iPhone 6 pre-orders with Phones 4U — with some terms and conditions.
This is what Carphone Warehouse, another giant retailer in the UK, had to say about the unfortunate set of events, especially the iPhone 6 pre-orders getting cancelled:
We understand Phones 4U customers have been told they won’t receive a refund on their iPhone 6 contract pre-orders. We don’t think that’s fair, so we are offering to reimburse Phones 4U customers for any money paid upfront when they buy their new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus contract from us. All you need to do is come into one of our stores with printed evidence of your pre-order.
All you have to do is visit a Carphone Warehouse store near your location with a proof of the pre-order, it could be your debit/credit card statement, order confirmation email for online orders or your till receipt for in store orders. You do have to by the new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus contract from the retailer as well.
