Carbon3D is looking to speed up 3D printing and the company has announced a new 3d printing processor that can be up to 100 times faster than current systems.
The company’s new 3D printing system is capable of printing at speeds of between 25 and 100 times faster than current devices, have a look at the video below.
The new Carbon3D system uses something called CLIP or Continuous Liquid Interface Production technology, and this uses light and oxygen together with a photosensitive resin.
“Current 3D printing technology has failed to deliver on its promise to revolutionize manufacturing,” said Dr. Joseph DeSimone, CEO and Co-Founder, Carbon3D. “Our CLIP technology offers the game-changing speed, consistent mechanical properties and choice of materials required for complex commercial quality parts.”
The company has also said that the quality of the objects that are printed using this new technology are also improved over current 3D printers. You can find out more details about this new 3D printing process at the links below.
