It seems like every camping trip I’ve ever been on, there has been at least one person that brought a guitar along. It also seems like everyone I’ve ever known that owns a guitar is constantly worrying about someone breaking it. A company out of Vermont called Alpaca Guitar creates incredibly cool carbon fiber guitars that are designed to be rugged.
In fact, the company’s guitars are rugged enough that they’re designed to click directly to your outdoor gear without the need for a case to protect it. The body of the guitar is made from carbon fiber, flax fabric, and bio derived resin. The instrument is very light at 2.6 pounds and promises a brilliant resonant sound.
The manufacturer says the guitar can withstand dirt, water, and bumps. It has an embedded daisychain on the back providing a universal attachment to outdoor gear. The guitars built by hand in the United States and is available for $575 right now.
