Geeks tend to collect a bunch of old computer hardware in their home or office because we always think we will use it again sometime. I have about five old HDDs lying around in my desk and on it that I don’t use. If I wanted to, I could crack my PC open and find a cable to plug them in, but that is a pain. What I need is one of the cool docking stations that Brando offers.
The company’s latest offering would kill two birds with one stone for me too. I only have a single USB 3.0 port on my PC and the new Brando USB 3.0 SATA dock has three more USB 3.0 ports on the front. The dock acts just like a hub. You would only gain two more ports since your USB 3.0 cable that is included with the dock would take one on the computer.
The dock will work with any 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD and comes with the power adapter and cable needed for installation. The dock will set you back $140 and you can get it with plugs for the US or Europe.
