Bosch the German technology and manufacturing company has this week unveiled a new safety device it has created for motorbikes that uses high-pressure gas forced out of a nozzle to help right a sliding motorcycle. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Bosch motorcycle jet thruster. “You’re motoring along, leaned over in a turn and oh no, someone left a bunch of sand at the apex of the corner. Now your wheels are starting to wash out and you know you’re in for a low side crash but all of a sudden, you hear a loud hiss as your bike vents pressurized gas to counteract the slide and help right your bike. You ride off feeling like an idiot and looking like a pro.”
As well as revealing the new motorcycle jet thruster safety system Bosch also revealed new motorcycle technology including adaptive cruise control, blind spot warnings and more. Bosch plans to introduce those features on the Ducati Multistrada and KTM 1290 Super Duke motorcycles but no details on launch dates or pricing have been revealed as yet.
