Indian based development company Global Delight has created a new application for Mac systems called Boom, that has been designed to boost quiet sounds by up to 400% without apparent distortion.
Once installed on to your Mac system the Boom app creates an extra volume control in the menu bar, allowing you to use presets or create your own custom equaliser settings, for use with different audio setups.
As well as working with Mac speakers, you can also use the application to convert audio files into louder version of themselves, by simple dragging audio files into the application.
Global Delight are now hoping to create iOS and Windows versions of their Boom application to assist other platforms increase the sound, and a Retina version of the Boom app is also expected to launch in the next few weeks.
