Yesterday BlackBerry announced their latest financial results, and the company’s CEO John Chen mentioned their latest smartphone, the BlackBerry Passport.
Now we have come photos of the BlackBerry Passport from David Friend, the BlackBerry CEO showed off this new BlackBerry 10.3 smartphone.
As we mention yesterday,the BlackBerry Passport features a square display which measures 4.5 inches, under the display is a three row Qwerty keyboard, it certainly looks like a unique design from the photos.
The 4.5 inch display with feature a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixel, and the device is said to be powered by a quad core 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, plus 3GB of RAM.
Those are the only specifications we know on this new BlackBerry device, it will come with the next version of BlackBerry’s mobile OS, BlackBerry 10.3 which will launch later in the year.
We heard earlier this week that BlackBerry had signed a deal with Amazon to bring over 200,000 Android apps from the Amazon AppStore to BlackBerry devices, this will land in BlackBerry 10.3, so these apps will be available on the BlackBerry Passport when it launches.
