The fantastic Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game created by Bethesda has this week won the prestigious ‘Game of the Year’ 2012 at the Game Developers Choice Awards.
Skyrim which was released on November 11th 2011 is the fifth instalment in The Elder Scrolls action role-playing video game series. Skyrim is an action role-playing open world video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and allows you to explore vast kingdoms and partake in endless quests.
Skyrim director Todd Howard explained: “We never imagined the reception the game would get, or the reception that it has had. This has been an amazing ride for us, not just for this game, but for the last 25-plus years at Bethesda.”
As well as Skyrim another of my personal favourite games Portal 2 won three awards for Best Narrative, Best Audio and Best Game Design. Valve writer Erik Wolpaw explained in his acceptance speech.
“During most of the development of Portal 2, I thought I was going to die,” – “So just not being dead was the only award that I thought I was going to get.”
