If you are a big real-time strategy (RTS) gamer you might be pleased to know that BenQ has designed a new monitor specifically for your games and RTS fans. The new BenQ RL2240H display is the worlds very first RTS display according to BenQ and has built on the success of their previous XL2410T model.
The monitor has been designed with the help of Zowie Gear manufacturer of competitive gaming goods and creator of the world-class StarCraft 2 professional gaming team sponsored by BenQ, Startale and is a 22-inch display fitted with a LED backlight, and has native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
To make the new monitor RTS specifica in design BenQ has added a number of features including Black eQualizer, a technology that makes use of an exclusively designed colour engine which greatly improves the colour contrast in darkened areas. Together with brightness control that can be tweaked without overexposing white levels. Together with a a Smart Scaling feature enabling gamers to manually scale the screen to any custom size.
But if you just feel like getting up and running with the new monitor there is also a RTS preset which can be used to calibrate the monitor for instant RTS gaming.
The new BenQ RL2240H will be arriving in Europe, Korea and Japan in October, and will rollout worldwide shortly after, but as yet BenQ hasn’t released any prices.
