The development team at cultivate3d have once again taken to Kickstarter to launch their new second-generation large format 3D printer aptly named the Beast V2. The latest generation 3D printer has been under development for three years and builds upon the technology and design of the previous two 3D printing systems the Beast V1 and V1.2. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about this huge 3D printer which offers a massive build volume of 490 x 500 x 670mm.
Other features of the Beast V2 3D printer include a heated bed, 100 – 800 Microns layer resolution, dual material printing options, four synchronous printing options, fully enclosed print area and SD card or computer tethered printing to name a few.
The latest generation of 3D printer from cultivate3d expands the print volume by another 20 percent allowing users to print huge scale objects such as a whole chair, duplicate a small child or create massive sculptures in one piece. “The Beast V2 is supplied with industry leading E3D Hotends, as well compatible with nearly every other hotend on the market. In the unlikely event you don’t like the Hotends we supply? Feel free to source and use your own.”
As well as the full range of E3D nozzles, the Beast V2 3D printer can support E3D’s new15mm nozzles and a layer height of just .01mm for an industry leading level of detail, thanks to the inclusion of E3D Titan geared extruders available offering either direct drive or bowden extrusion configurations. The new Beast V2 is now available to back via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from £1,465 or AU$2,699.
