Audi has announced an updated version of the Audi RS 3 Sportback. The big update is a more powerful engine with the turbo 5-cylinder making 400hp. That is a 2.5L FSI engine and 400hp is a gain of 33hp compared to the outgoing model. The engine is also 57.3 pounds lighter thanks to an aluminum crankcase.
The new engine makes 354 lb-ft of torque and all that adds up to a time of 0-62.1 mph in 4.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 174 mph. As you expect with Audi, the car has quattro drive and a S tronic 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.
The car also gets a wider track and sportier suspension than other models in the line. A pair of instruments on the dash give you lap times and boost pressure. The world premiere for the new Audi RS 3 Sportback will come at the Geneva Motor Show. Sadly, the updated RS 3 Sportback won’t come to the US.
