Asus has this week launched their new ASUS ZenWatch smartwatch as previously announced, via the Google Play online store priced at $199 and available in either brown or black straps.
The Bluetooth 4.0 equipped smartwatch sports a 1.63” AMOLED screen that provides a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and is supplied running Google’s latest Android Wear operating system, that has been specifically designed for Android wearable devices.
The ASUS ZenWatch is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2GHz CPU processor supported by 512MB of RAM and comes supplied with a Micro USB charging cradle to recharge the 1.4Wh battery when required. Asus explains little more :
“ASUS ZenWatch is the first ASUS wearable device powered by Android Wear and produced in partnership with Google. ASUS ZenWatch is an exquisitely crafted watch that seamlessly pairs with an Android smartphone to extend its functionality, provide relevant and useful information when it is needed most, and serve as a wellness manager.”
