If you have been patiently waiting to get your hands on the Asus ZenFone 6, you’ll be pleased to know that Asus ZenFone 6 preorders have now opened starting from $500.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor supported by 6 GB of RAM and powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, the smartphone is also equipped with a rotating camera that swivels 180° allowing you to use the same dual camera setup for selfies and normal shots. Upgrades are also available allowing you to add up to 12 GB of RAM and extra storage if desired.
Equipped with a 6.4 inch IPS LCD display the Asus ZenFone 6 offers users a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and is fitted with a fingerprint sensor, microSD card reader and support for 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC. Preinstalled is Google’s Android Pie operating system and the dual cameras offer both a 48 megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a 13 megapixel sensor.
“Flipping tradition on its head, the ZenFone 6 ZS630KL Dual-SIM 64GB Smartphone from ASUS incorporates a motorized flip camera, giving you a huge 6.4″ all-screen NanoEdge display. The removal of the front camera lets you enjoy a 92% screen-to-body ratio that equates to seamless video playback, browsing, and more. The screen also features cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 600 nits of outdoor-readable brightness, and Gorilla Glass 6 screen protection.”
“The motorized flip camera system actually rotates from rear to front, and back again, with just a tap. The custom stepper motor inside is engineered to smoothly flip the camera from 0 to 180°. More importantly, the camera can snap photos and video as it moves. A moving camera opens up a bunch of interesting photo possibilities, such as automatic panoramas and free-angle shooting. Using a Sony IMX586 sensor in the flip camera, you get a 48MP wide hi-res camera and a 13MP 125° ultrawide camera.”
