The Asus ZenFone 5Z has now been listed on the Asus website in the US, the company has either made a mistake on the pricing or they intend to charge a hefty premium for it in the US.
As you can see from the picture above, Asus has listed the handset on their website in the US for $1,999. We are not sure why the device is listed for that much as the handset retails for the equivalent of $575 in Europe.
As a reminder the Asus ZenFone 5Z comes with a Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device features a 6.2 inch display with a FHD+ resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels.
The handset comes with some high end cameras, these include a front facing 8 megapixel camera and on the back there are two 12 megapixel cameras. The handset will feature a fingerprint scanner and a notch on the front.
It is not clear as yet on whether this is the correct pricing for the US or if Asus has made a mistake, either way we suspect not many people will be willing to pay that much for the device.
