At the IFA consumer electronics trade show this week, Asus has taken the opportunity to unveil two new Windows 8 tablets in the form of the Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT.
Both the Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT tablet have been designed by Asus to be dual-purpose, and combine a high resolution multi touch display together with a removable QWERTY keyboard.
The Asus Vivo Tab RT is equipped with a 10.1″ display providing a resolution of 1366 x 768 resolution and uses Super IPS+ technology. The tablet is powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 12-core GPU, supported by 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The Asus Vivo TAB is powered by a Next Generation Intel Atom processor supported by 2GB RAM, and 64GB of on-board storage. Together with a 11.6″ 10-point multi-touch display, providing 1366 x 768 resolution and using also Super IPS+ technology.
The Asus keyboard dock which can bet attached and removed from both tablets very easily, is equipped with 2 x USB ports and a second battery for extended use whilst off the grid.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet Asus for either the Vivo Tab or Vivo Tab RT tablet at the present time, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
