At IFA 2015 this week Asus has unveiled a new addition to their range of computers with the launch of the Asus VivoStick which measures just 138 x 15 x 14mm in size and comes pre-loaded with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating system.
The Asus VivoStick is the first hardware the company has created for the ‘compute stick’ market and have powered it with an Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor supported by 2GB of RAM.
Internally there is 32GB of storage together with 2 x USB ports as well as a headphone jack, unfortunately though Asus has not installed a microSD card slot to expand the internal storage even further. Although they have included connectivity via Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11n Wi-Fi.
ASUS VivoStick PC heralds a new and convenient way of computing. This remarkable ultra-miniature Windows 10 ‘stick’ PC is incredibly slim, compact and light with a modern, elegant pen-inspired design, and a stylish cap to protect the HDMI connector. VivoStick PC is designed for everyday enjoyment, turning any HDMI-enabled TV or monitor into a fully-functional PC, and allowing users to stream and share content anywhere, anytime. It can even be remotely controlled from a mobile device using a special ASUS app.
