As well as unveiling their new Transformer 2 device, ASUS has also unveiled today that their first generation Transformer device will also be receiving an Ice Cream Sandwich update enabling it to benefit from Google’s latest Android build and its features.
The information that the Ice Cream Sandwich Android build would be arriving on the older Transformer tablet was divulged in an interview with an ASUS representative by the team over at the Pocket Lint website.
ASUS explained in the interview: “Transformer will be getting update to ICS – but we can’t provide a schedule at this stage,”
Features of Ice Cream Sandwich
Ice Cream Sandwich, also known as Android 4.0, brings a host of new features and improvements to the Android operating system.
