Asus this week during the Computex 2014 technology show unveiled a range of new devices including the Asus Zenbook NX500 4K Ultrabook, new ROG gaming peripherals and Asus FonePad 8 to name a few.
Adding to the list of newly unveiled systems is the Asus Portable AiO PT2001 that is equipped with a 19.5-inch IPS 10-point touchscreen and offers users an All-in-One PC with a unique, portable and space-saving design.
The Asus Portable AiO PT200 weighs just 3.2 kg and is fitted with a fold away stand making it easily to transport from room to room when required. The included battery is capable of providing up to 5 hours of use from a single charge and the hybrid tablet/desktop PC measures just 12.3 mm at its thinnest point.
The Asus Portable AiO PT2001 comes supplied running Windows 8.1 and includes SonicMaster audio technology which Asus says is clear even at higher volumes and offers users deep, defined bass. The Asus Portable AiO PT2001 is powered by up to a 4th generation Intel Core processor and NVIDIA GeForce 820M GPU supported by 4GB RAM and has an optional 802.11ac Wi-Fi support if required. Asus explains a little more :
“Portable AiO features innovative gesture control that lets users interact with and control the PC from a distance with simple gestures, allowing them to read books, browse the internet, and control movies and music with a wave of the hand. Portable AiO optionally includes support for Near Field Communication (NFC) to provide a convenient and enhanced user experience.
Used together with an NFC-supported mobile device, AiO provides additional features such as instant Windows logon without typing a password, automatic photo and video backup from the mobile device to Portable AiO and quick access to files directly from the mobile device.”
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Asus Portable AiO PT200, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always.
