Asphalt 8 is one of the best racing games available for iOS and Android. The game made its debut in the App Store a few weeks back. If you are a fan of racing games, we have some good news for you. The folks at Gameloft announced via Twitter that Asphalt 8: Airborne will be available free of cost over the weekends. The game is priced at $0.99 in the App Store as well as the Google Play Store.
Features and Gameplay
Asphalt 8: Airborne is the latest addition to the Asphalt racing series that brings many new features, 47 new luxury cars, and new exotic locations to test your driving skills. The game offers 9 different seasons and over 150 events when you play the game in career mode. Each season is designed to challenge your racing abilities with increasing difficulty and diverse race types, including classic races, elimination, and drift challenges.
The game’s physics engine has been significantly improved, allowing for more realistic car handling and spectacular stunts. Players can perform barrel rolls and wild 360-degree jumps, adding an extra layer of excitement to the races. The graphics are top-notch, with detailed car models and beautifully rendered environments that range from the Nevada Desert to the streets of Tokyo.
Multiplayer Mode
Best of all, the game also offers a multiplayer mode where you can play with up to 8 opponents on your iOS device simultaneously. This mode allows you to compete against friends or other players from around the world in real-time races. The multiplayer mode features leaderboards and rankings, so you can see how you stack up against the competition. However, do note that the multiplayer mode does not work on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th generation.
In addition to the real-time multiplayer, Asphalt 8: Airborne also includes asynchronous multiplayer, where you can race against the ghost cars of your friends or top players. This feature allows you to compete at your own pace while still enjoying the competitive aspect of the game.
The game also includes a variety of in-game events and challenges that are updated regularly. These events offer unique rewards and give players the opportunity to earn exclusive cars and upgrades.
