Apple has announced that its new iPad will go on sale in China on Friday the 20th of July, the news comes just a couple of weeks after Apple settles its lawsuit with Proview for $60 million, in China over the iPad trademark.
Apple will open for reservations of the device a day earlier on the 19th of July, this is obviously being done to cut down on scalpers which we have seen before at the launch of new Apple devices in China.
Apple® today announced the new iPad®, the third generation of its category defining mobile device, will arrive in China on Friday, July 20. The new iPad features a stunning new Retina™ display, Apple’s new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel iSight® camera with advanced optics for capturing amazing photos and 1080p HD video. The new iPad still delivers the same all-day 10 hour battery life* while remaining amazingly thin and light.
We suspect the launch of the new Pad in China will help Apple significantly increase sales of their tablet, you can find out more details over at Apple.
