Apple are expected to launch a new smaller iPhone, the iPhone SE at their press event later this month, the company will also reveal their new 9.7 inch iPad Pro.
The iPhone SE is rumored to be a smaller version of the iPhone 6S, the handset is expected to come with many of the hardware specifications of the 6S.
The new smaller iPhone will feature a 4 inch display that will apparently have a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels like the 6S, the device will be powered by the same Apple A9 processor as the 6S and will come with 2GB of RAM.
The iPhone SS will apparently come with two storage options, these are said to be 16GB and 64GB and the handset will get the same cameras as the 6S. This will include a 5 megapixel Apple FaceTime camera on the front for Selfies and video chat and a 12 megapixel iSight camera on the back, we presume it will be able to shoot 4K video like the 6S.
The smaller iPhone will also come with Apple Pay support, there are also rumors that it will come with the company’s Force Touch 3D Touch display.
The device is expected to have a similar design to the 6S and will come with a range of color options which will include gold, silver, slate gray and possibly a new bright pink color option. Apple are expected to retail the device for between $400 and $500.
This could help Apple increase their iPhone sales as there are many iOS users who are still using a 4 inch iPhone like the iPhone 5 and 5S, the new model could encourage these people to upgrade.
Apple are expected to make their new iPhone and also the 9.7 inch iPad Pro official at a press event on the 21st of March, the two devices are expected to hit retail the same week.
