Yesterday we heard that references to the new Apple Watch and a new iPhone companion application were discovered in iOS 8.2 Beta 4, and now we have some more information on the companion app.
The Marc Gurman from 9 to 5 Mac have had a look at the new Apple Watch companion app, the applications is designed to managed setting for applications on Apple’s new smartwatch.
You will be able to use the companion app on your iPhone to manage applications on your Apple Watch, and you will also be able to select the layout of the app icons on your watch from your iPhone.
This would make sense that Apple would allow you to manage the settings for their smartwatch on your iPhone, as it would be easier to organize the applications on a larger display.
Apple’s new smartwatch is expected to launch in March, Apple has yet to give us an official release date for their new watch, although the device is expected to launch some time between the 20th and the end of March. Have a look at our handy guide on how to improve your iPhone battery life.
