We have been hearing rumors about the Apple TV streaming service for the last few years, it will be officially unveiled by Apple in March.
Yesterday we heard that Apple will hold a press event on the 25th of March where it will unveil its new Apple News subscription service, the company will also unveil their Apple TV streaming service at the event.
The new Apple TV subscription service will offer original content from Apple and also movies and TV shows from other companies for a monthly fee. Apple will be looking to take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime video with the service.
According to a recent report by Bloomberg, Apple has invited a number of Hollywood stars to the event, this includes Jennifer Aniston, Rees Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner and JJ Abrahams who have all apparently been working with Apple.
It is not clear as yet on how much Apple will charge for their new movie and TV show streaming service, we suspect it will be a similar price to Neltflix and others and will probably cost around $10 a month.
Whilst Netflix and Amazon Prime Video already have a massive head start, Apple has hundreds of millions of customers it can market the service to, this is a strategy that worked will for it with Apple Music.
