We have been hearing a number of rumors over the last few weeks that Apple are working on a smaller iPad, the device is rumored to be called the iPad Mini.
And now according to a recent report by the New York Times, Apple’s smaller iPad mini is expected to retail for ‘significantly less’ than their existing iPad models.
The company is developing a new tablet with a 7.85-inch screen that is likely to sell for significantly less than the latest $499 iPad, with its 9.7-inch display, according to several people with knowledge of the project who declined to be named discussing confidential plans. The product is expected to be announced this year.
These iPad Mini rumors have been around for the last few years, so we have no idea whether Apple intends to launch a smaller version this year or not, if they do we wonder how it will be priced, it is possible that Apple may make it available for $199, the same as the Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7.
