It looks like Apple is stepping up its legal case against Samsung, as Reuters is reporting that Apple has filed a lawsuit against Samsung in Japan for alleged infringement of Apple’s patents.
The lawsuit has been filed in the Tokyo District Court, and Apple is looking to get sales of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones suspended in Japan as well as seeking damages of 100 million yen, about $1.3 million.
This is more bad new for Samsung, who have had imports of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 banned in Germany, and the company recently removed their new Galaxy Tab 7.7 from their IFA stand due to the legal disputes between them and Apple.
We heard this earlier this morning that HTC has filed a new lawsuit against Apple, after they purchased some patents from Google, and we are wondering if Google will do a similar thing with Samsung to help them out with their legal disputes with Apple.
