We were expecting iOS 11.3 to be the next iOS release, Apple has now released a new software update, iOS 11.2.6.
The iOS 11.2.6 software update is designed to fix the bug we heard about recently that crashed peoples iPhones when a certain character Indian language Telugu is sent via messages.
The update also comes with another big fix that caused some third party apps to not connect to third party accessories. You can see the release notes from Apple below.
“iOS 11.2.6 includes bug fixes for your iPhone or iPad. This update:
Fixes an issue where using certain character sequences could cause apps to crash
Fixes an issue where some third-party apps could fail to connect to external accessories”
The latest version of Apple’s mobile OS is now available to download from the iPhone and iPad. You can download the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your device.
Apple is also working on their new iOS 11.3 software update which will bring a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad. We are only on the second beta of this, so it could be a little while before the update is released.
Apple’s iOS 11.3 will bring some new Animoji to the iPhone and iPad, these include a dragon, a lion, a skull and a bear. The update will also give users access to a new battery management feature on your device. As soon as we get some more details on when the iOS 11.3 software update is coming, we will let you guys know.
