Following on from the recent release of iOS 11.1 beta 4 Apple has now released iOS 11.1 beta 5, this gives us a good indication that Apple will be releasing the software to everyone shortly.
The fifth beta of iOS 11.1 is now available to both developers and also members of Apple’s public beta testing program.
The software will bring a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad, these will include the new Apple Pay Cash and the new emoji that we saw recently. Apple Pay Cash is a new way to send money to your friends and family using your iPhone and Apple Pay.
The iOS 11.1 software update also comes with a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, the update will also fix the KRACK WiFi security vulnerability.
Apple have not given a release date for their iOS 11.1 software update, although we are expecting the software to be released soon. Apple’s new iPhone X launches next week on the 3rd of November and we are expecting Apple to release the software before the launch of the iPhone X.
The iPhone X will go up for pre-order this Friday the 27th of October, demand for the handset is expected to be high and it is expected to be in short supply at launch. As soon as we get some more details on exactly when the new iOS 11.1 software update is coming, we will let you guys know.
