Apple is apparently planning to open a high end research and development facility in Japan, the news comes from Japan’s Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
The Japanese Prime Minister told reporters that Apple has decided to open a ‘cutting-edge R&D’ facility in Japan, although he did not reveal any more information about Apple’s plans.
The Company has yet to confirm that they are launching a new R&D facility in Japan, we recently heard that they also planned to launch a new R&D facility in Cambridge in the UK.
Apple obviously have plans to expand their research and development operations to more countries around the world, they already have facilities in Shanghai and Israel.
