It looks like Apple Music is becoming more popular as the music streaming service now has 40 million paid subscribers.
Back in February we heard that Apple’s music streaming service had around 36 million subscribers, so it has managed to add another 4 million subscribers in just over two months. The company also has 8 million users who are using the trial of Apple’s Music streaming service at the moment.
Apple Music is available in more than 115 countries around the world, this latest milestone is helping Apple catch up with its main rival, Spotify which now has more than 70 million paid subscribers.
Spotify launched back in 2006, Apple only launched their music streaming service in 2015, although they have a massive customer base to market their music streaming service to. It will be interesting to see if Apple can catch up to Spotify.
