Apple will release the next major version of their mobile OS later today, Apple iOS 9 and a number of iOS 9 compatible apps have already started to appear in Apple’s app store.
As well as iOS 9, Apple is also releasing their new watchOS 2 for the Apple Watch today and a number of compatible watchOS 2 apps have also turned up in the app store.
Apple iOS 9 will bring a range of major new features to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the software will be made available for the iPad 2 and above, the iPad Mini and above, the iPhone 4S and above and the fifth generation iPod Touch.
Some of the new features in iOS 9 include split screen multitasking where you will be able to run two apps side by side on the one display. There is also the new Apple News app and a range of other existing apps which are getting some updates.
We are expecting the new iOS 9 and watchOS 2 software updates to be release some time this afternoon UK, which will be morning time in the US, as soon as we get some more information on exactly when the updates are going to be released, we will let you guys know.
