Apple will start to take pre-orders on its latest device, the Apple HomePod today. The device will be available to pre-order in the UK, US and Australia for £319 or $349and it will launch next month.
The HomePod is designed to be a speaker for your home and also a voice activated assistant, it comes with Apple’s Siri built in. Apple recently revealed that there are now more than 500 million active monthly users of Siri.
Apple is selling the device as a high end audio device it comes with seven tweeters, a high excursion woofer and a custom amplifier. It can be used as a stand alone speaker or paired together with another HomerPod to create stereo sound and placed around your room. The device can also be added to multiple rooms around your home and can communicate with each other.
The device will work with Apple Music and more and it will come in a choice of two colors, white and black. It is now available to pre-order from today in the UK, US and Australia and the new Apple HomePod launches on the 9th of February 2018. The device is expected to be in high demand at launch and could end up being in short supply shortly after launch.
