Apple has filed another complaint against rival smartphone maker HTC with the International Trade Commission (ITC), the latest filing was made on the 8th of July, the first one was filed back in March 2010.
The original ITC filing was relating to 10 different patents, and the details of the latest filing haven’t been made available yet, but as Foss Patents point out it could be the same 5 patents which Apple just filed an ITC complaint against Samsung for.
The ITC website reveals that Apple filed another patent infringement complaint against Android device maker HTC on Friday, July 8, 2011. By my count, that’s Android-related lawsuit no. 48 (some disputes consist of multiple lawsuits). At this stage, the asserted patents aren’t known (not even their number).
Apple are obviously looking to go up against as many Android smartphone manufacturers as possible, as more and more Android devices become popular, and Android grows into a more popular platform, Apple has also filed two lawsuits against HTC previously, which are progressing.
