Apple will release three new iPhones this year, a 6.1 inch LCD iPhone X, a 5.8 inch OLED model and a 6.5 inch OLED iPhone.
The LCD iPhone X will be the cheapest of the three iPhones, the handset is expected to cost between $600 and $700. According to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal, Apple is expecting this model to be the most popular one.
The lower price of the handset compared to the flagship iPhone X which costs $999 will apparently be the reason that this model will be the most popular version. Many people think that this price of $999 is too much for a smartphone, but the lower price of the LCD iPhone will make these consumers consider upgrading.
Apple will apparently be producing more units of the LCD iPhone when the three handsets launch later this year. This is in anticipation that people will be buying this handset over the OLED models.
The three new iPhone handsets this year are expected to feature a similar design, the OLED models will get an OLED display and possibly slightly different cameras to the LCD model. We are expecting to see all three versions of the iPhone some time in September or October along with Apple’s iOS 12.
