We recently heard that sales of the new Apple AirPods Pro headphone were higher than expected and now according to a recent report, Apple is doubling their production to meet demand.
According to a recent report from the Nikkie Apple is doubling production of their latest wireless headphones from 1 million units to 2 million units a month.
Apple’s production partner in China is stepping up production as are some of its other manufacturing partners.
Demand for the new AirPods is so high at the moment Apple are now showing a shipping time for new online orders of up to four weeks. If you are looking to get your hands on some before Christmas then you may have to check your local Apple Store as some apparently still have stock.
Apple’s original AirPods are still available to buy both online with delivery immediately and at the Apple Store, although this may change. The AirPods cost $159 and the AirPods Pro cost $249.
