Apple and Samsung have been fighting it out in court over the design of Apple’s iPhone for the last few years. Back in 2012 Samsung were ordered to pay Apple around $1 billion in damages, since then the two companies have been in court numerous times.
Samsung has challenged the damages awarded and the two companies have been battling in court ever since. Apple and Samsung are now back in court again in another trial.
Apple wants Samsung to pay the full $1 billion that it was awarded, but Samsung says it should be a lot less than this. The two companies are hoping that the latest court case will bring an end to the dispute between the two companies.
Even with their legal disputes over the last six years, Samsung are Apple still do business, as Samsung is one of the major suppliers of parts for Apple’s iPhone. Lets hope they get this resolved and we are not hearing about it again in another six years.
