Aperion Audio have created a new Airplay style speaker called the Aperion Aris which has been designed for Windows PCs. Once the speaker system is connected to your network, the Aperion Aris becomes a Hi-Fi music player for all of your music, no matter on which device it is stored. You can also then control the Aperion Aris speaker using any device on your network.
On the rear of the Aperion Aris speaker there are two matched passive radiators to enhance the speakers bass sounds. Together with a slot that holds the swappable Aris Wireless Card, which future-proofs your sound investment by letting you upgrade when networking technology changes.
“Your networked PCs running Windows 7 and Windows 8 Consumer Preview will then see the ARIS speaker as a device on your network. The ARIS Music App (and most DLNA Apps) on your smartphone or tablet (Android and Apple iOS) will also see ARIS as a “player” device, as ARIS is DLNA® certified.”
The new Aperion Aris speaker is equipped with four driven speakers and two passive radiators providing 100 W RMS total power. Its currently available to pre-order for $500 with shipping commencing on 18th June 2012.
