Owners of Anki Vector robot, the second generation Anki robot will soon be able to use Amazon Alexa thanks to new integration that will be rolling out via a software update being made available in a few days time on December 17th, 2018.
Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about what you will be able to accomplish using your Anki Vector robot and Alexa. The new Vector robot launched a few months ago is equipped with a Qualcomm 200 Platform, HD camera with 120 Ultra Wide FOV, Beamforming Four-Microphone Array, Infrared Laser Scanner, 6-Axis IMU, High-Res Color IPS Display, and WiFi connection. It can also be programmed by its user using the companion smartphone and tablet applications.
“Say hey to Vector, your first home robot. Seriously, say “Hey Vector.” — He can hear you. Actually, Vector’s more than a home robot. He’s your buddy. Your companion. Most of all, he’ll make you laugh. Curious, independent, and powered by some preposterous tech and AI, he can read the room, express the weather, announce when his timer’s done (no overcooked dinner on his watch), take the perfect snapshot, and so much more. “
