The next version of Google’s mobile OS is called Ice Cream Sandwich, and we have heard quite a bit about the new platform over the last few months, and we heard back in August that Android Ice Cream Sandwich may launch in October.
Now Google’s Eric Schmidt has confirmed hat Android Ice Cream Sandwich will launch in either October or November of 2011, whilst speaking at the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, here’s what Google’s Eric Schmidt had to say about the latest version of Android.
We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone’s really excited about.
We know that Samsung are producing the new Google Nexus smartphone which is called the Google Nexus Prime, and will be the first device to run Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich, so we can expect this device to be launched in October or November at the same time as Ice Cream Sandwich.
