We know that Google is working on the next version of Android which is called Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and we know that it will launch some time in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Now according to the guys over at the BGR, Ice Cream Sandwich may actually launch in October, as Google is looking to push the release of Ice Cream Sandwich up to a similar time as the iPhone 5 launches which is expected to hit at the end of September or beginning of October.
Last week we heard that Texas Instrument’s OMAP4 processor is likely to be the main platform for Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich devices, so we can expect to see the first devices using the TI OMAP4 launching in October as well.
