In conjunction with the launch of the new Apple iMac systems this week AMD have now officially launched their new Radeon PRO 500 series graphics chip which will be installed in the new range of iMac desktop computers.
The new graphics processors are now powering the 15-inch MacBook Pro notebook and 21.5 and 27 inch iMac all-in-one systems. The Radeon Pro 500 Series graphics deliver the “optimal combination of high performance and cool + quiet operation” says AMD.
The “Polaris” architecture in Radeon Pro GPUs enable graphics and compute workloads to work together seamlessly. Complex workloads, including advanced 3D modeling/rendering and multi stream 4k non-linear editing are only bounded by your imagination.
State of the art Radeon Pro 500 Series Graphics are built on the cutting edge “Polaris” architecture with future-ready display technology. Precisely fabricated using the latest 14nm FinFET process means high quality visuals are achieved without sacrificing the extreme power efficiency required to enable portability in a notebook or sleekness/thinness in an all-in-one.
