Ben Andrew based in Melbourne Australia has created a new action camera fixing system for cyclists called the Klamp which can be used with a variety of different action camera manufacturers such as GoPro, Garmin VIRB, Contour and Shimano.
As well as the ability to be used to hold your cycling computer or other cycling accessories in place when required. When used as an action camera clamp the new fixing is able to provide you with more unique camera angles to record your exploit footage making even more immersive recordings for your viewers to watch.
The Klamp system provides a robust and advanced modular mounting system designed specifically for cyclists and can be seen in action in the video below.
“Action cameras are everywhere, allowing us to capture technical downhill runs, our favourite single track, or great shots of our buddies on the trail; but, their technical convenience lacks finesse and control over the shots you can get. As active riders we understand that with the right camera and mounts, we can have creative freedom to capture the unbelievable moments of our ride, with the quality they deserve.
We were tired of returning home from our amazing riding trips, in truly spectacular country, only to find we had managed to gather almost no usable footage. From inception klamp has been about riding and sharing our experinces. klamp mounts are simple, flexible and robust. Created with incredible materials including carbon fibre and titanium, our purpose is to produce better action shots and highly functional products. That’s why we created klamp – the world’s best mounting solution, designed by riders, built for riders. “
The Klamp project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise $45,000 pledges. So if you think Klamp is something your cycling exploits could benefit from whilst recording footage, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help Klamp become a reality.
