Gamers in the market for a new monitor might be interested to know that Acer has today launched two new monitors on is the form of the new Predator XB271HU display.
That takes the form of a 27 inch monitor that provides a 165Hz refresh rate and comes equipped with support for Nvidia G-Sync technology.
The new Acer Predator XB271HU offers a WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS panel with 4ms response time, 350 cd/m² maximum brightness and 100 percent sRGB color gamut coverage. The Acer gaming monitor also offers players a refresh rate up to 144Hz, but enabling G-Sync will increase it to 165Hz.
Featuring a near frame-less design, which its makers refer to as “Zero Frame Design,” and a feature-rich red+black stand that allows height, tilt, swivel, and rotation; the XB271HU offers an IPS display panel with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, 4 ms response time, and 350 cd/m² maximum brightness.
Acer also introduced the XB271HK, which is essentially an XB271HU with a 4K Ultra HD IPS panel that does 60 Hz, instead of the blistering 165 Hz WQHD panel. This panel offers 4 ms response time, 300 cd/m² maximum brightness. Both displays feature G-SYNC adaptive-sync tech, and take input from DisplayPort 1.2 connectors.
The Acer XB271HU is priced at $799, and the Acer XB271HK is priced at $899.
