US mobile operator AT&T has announced that they will be launching a new Android tablet this summer, the Acer Iconia Tab A501, which is Acer’s first 4G tablet.
The Acer Iconia Tab A501 features a 10.1 inch touchscreen display, plus a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor, and it will come with Google’s tablet version of Android, Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
Other specifications on the Acer Iconia Tab A501 include a five megapixel rear facing camera, and a high definition front facing camera for video chat. It can also playback Full High Definition video in 1080p and comes with a HDMI port.
AT&T have not given any details on pricing or availability as yet, all we know is that it will be available on their network in the second quarter of 2011.
