Its been a quite sometime since Acer first mentioned its A100 and A500 tablets would be receiving Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system.
Now finally Acer have now announced an upgrade date of April 27th 2012 for the two tablets, allowing them to finally benefit from the new features of Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich. Six month after Google first launched their new ICS operating system.
Unfortunately some some though, if you are currently using the AT&T’s version of the fore mentioned tablets, you might not be receiving it as the support website currently states that the Acer 501 variant has “no update planned.”
For more details on the upgrade rollout jump over to the Acer website for a complete list.
