Sedan or wagon: BRABUS PowerXtra B40 – 600 engine tuning makes the new Mercedes C 63S even more a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The BRABUS engineers used
state-of-the-art test rig technology and extensive test drives on racetracks and public roads to develop a performance kit that boosts the power
output of the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 by 66 kW / 90 HP (88 bhp).BRABUS adapts a plug-and-play auxiliary control module to the electronic engine management system. It updates the engine controls with new mapping
for injection and ignition while increasing the boost pressure. As a result, rated power output jumps from standard 375 kW / 510 HP to 441 kW / 600
HP (503 to 591 bhp) at a low 5,800 rpm. At the same time, peak torque grows from 700 to 800 Nm (516 to 591 lb-ft), available on a plateau between
1,750 and 4,500 rpm. BRABUS recommends high-performance motor oil from technology partner MOTUL.
We will have more details about the new Brabus Mercedes C 63S when it is shown off at the Frankfurt motor show.
