2019 iPhone

We heard some details about next years iPhone X and iPhone X Plus smartphones earlier and now it looks like we have some details on the 2019 iPhone. According to a recent report, Apple will continue its plans with Augmented Reality with a new 3D sensor on the rear of the handset.

Apple’s iPhone X has a TrueDepth camera on the front which its uses for Face ID, the company will apparently keep this technology in 2019. Both cameras on the 2019 iPhone will apparently feature 3D sensing, the rear camera will be used for AR.

Apple’s iOS 11 comes with a range of AR features and we heard previously that Augmented Reality is expected to play a large part in future Apple devices. The company recently launched their new ARKit to help developers create AR apps for their iPhone.

Apple has big plans for their new iPhone over the next few years, much of this is related to software rather than hardware. The design of the iPhone X is expected to stay the same for next year and could also be the same in 2019. We are also expecting Apple to expand their Augmented Reality plans for the iPhone with next years new handsets.
