If you are looking for a more natural mobile Bluetooth speaker for your gadgets, David Laituri has created the 1Q speaker which is constructed from a 3 inch wooden cube, and fitted with a 6.5W, 2” full range speaker.
The 1Q speaker has integrated Bluetooth 2.1 support and will provide a simple audio link to nearly all Bluetooth enabled smartphones, tablets and electronic devices equipped with Bluetooth.
David explains: “The idea behind 1Q is simple: to bring the beauty, natural acoustic properties and inherent renewability of wood to wherever you and your mobile device wander: to the office, the back yard or simply from room to room”.
The 1Q speaker is fitted with a battery that is capable of providing up to 10 hours or more of continuous use, and if you combine the two 1Q speakers together you can benefit from stereo audio. The 1Q has been designed with auto-switching capability built in, to convert from mono to stereo L & R with the addition of a second 1Q speaker.
The 1Q speaker is currently over on the Kickstarter website looking to raise enough pledges to make the jump from concept to production. So if you think it is something you could benefit from, jump over to the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help 1Q become a reality.
